FL-2WE Mounting Adapter Kit

The FL-2WE Top Adapter Kit is a versatile solution designed to bridge the gap between different mounting standards. This kit features a female 1.25 inch BSP-threaded central hole, specifically designed to accept S3 or S3U series threaded sensors. It is an essential component when replacing an existing SAE 5-hole flanged sensor with a newer BSP-threaded model, or when performing a new installation in a tank that already features a standard 5-hole mount.

Constructed from durable nylon, the FL-2WE adapter flange includes two distinct bolt-hole patterns to ensure maximum compatibility. The inner pattern matches the SAE 5-hole standard, while the outer pattern matches the European standard 5-hole pattern. The kit includes a nitrile rubber gasket with the same dual-pattern holes to provide a leak-proof seal. This adapter is safe for use on plastic, metal, and fiberglass tanks.

Installation and System Security

For a complete installation of a threaded sensor into a standard SAE tank opening, the FL-2WE Top Adapter is used to align with the existing threaded holes in the tank. For entirely new installations where no mounting holes exist, an under-ring adapter is typically required to provide the necessary threaded holes on the underside of the tank material.

For tanks with thin top surfaces, it is recommended to use the FL-2 Flange Adapter in conjunction with the FLS-U Under-Ring Adapter. This combination reinforces the mounting area by sandwiching the tank material between the flange and the ring, ensuring a secure and leak-resistant foundation for the sensor.

• S3 and S3U Threaded Models: These sensors feature a 1.25 inch BSP threaded head, allowing them to be screwed directly into a matching threaded tank port.

• S5 and S5U Threaded Models: These units are designed with a 1.5 inch NPT threaded mount, frequently found in larger industrial or specialized fuel tank applications.
